Who is Sierra Fox?

Sierra Fox joined the Fox 5 DC team in November 2020.

​

Currently, she reports live during the 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm newscasts. She is also a fill-in anchor and you may even catch her filling in on the Like It Or Not panel, a show that airs at 7 pm weekdays.

​

Sierra prides herself on being a versatile, well-rounded reporter who can handle any situation. You can put her on breaking news, crime, education, entertainment, or politics and she will know how to tell the story. What Sierra enjoys most is holding people accountable and asking officials tough questions. 

​

Before coming to Washington, D.C., she was the lead nightside reporter and anchor at ABC 8News in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to that, she worked at WDVM (formerly WHAG) as a bureau reporter and anchor in Winchester, Virginia. She also interned for Good Morning America in New York City.

​

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Sierra graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina with a B.A in Communication Studies and two minors in Business Marketing and Management. 

​

She played Division 1 lacrosse her first three years of college – Go Fighting Camels! During her senior year, Sierra was a Production Assistant at ABC11 Eyewitness News, voted Homecoming Queen, and received the Senior of the Year award for Broadcasting and Electronic Media. Additionally, she has studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain and interned at WNCN and Raleigh Television Network.

Sierra is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, National Association of Black Journalists, and Founding Sister of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority.​
